Strathclyde Distillery History

1927 Strathclyde distillery set up by Seager Evans to produce grain whisky. 1957 Kinclaith Distillery was built within the Strathclyde plant to produce malt whisky. Set up by Long John International (part of Seagar Evans at that time). 1975 Closed. Long John acquired by Whitbread and Kinclaith distillery was dismantled in favour of a new distillery development.
