1821	Established
1825	Peter Brown
1872	Rebuilt by William Brown
1897	Linkwood-Glenlivet Distillery Co Ltd
1933	Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD) take over
1962	Renovated
1971	Renovated and extended from 2-6 stills
1985	The old side of the distillery was closed
1990	The old side was reopened for production a few months per year

Roderick Mackenzie, distillery manager at one time, forbade the removal of even spider webs in case the quality of the whisky was adversely affected!.
